Oselot Way Tank and Booster Pump Station

Golden State Water Company

Wood Rodgers was retained by the Golden State Water Company (GSWC) to performed engineering and design of the Oselot Way Tank and Pump Station. The facility included a five-million gallon, ground-level, welded steel water storage tank; a 7,500 gpm booster pump station comprised of five can-type, multi-stage vertical turbine pumps; various yard piping and valving; a control building and auxiliary generator; and miscellaneous site improvements. Engineering involved civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, cathodic protection, and acoustic and vibration design.

Wood Rodgers also provides well rehabilitation design services for GSWC and evaluated the suitability of a planned municipal well site. The hydrogeologic assessment for this project included reviewing construction records and available data from other wells completed in the area, including the Aerojet plume contamination monitoring wells. Wood Rodgers designed an exploration program which included a multi-level monitoring well, and provided well design options to avoid the aquifers that have been impacted by deep regional contamination.
