Little Egbert Tract Feasibility Study
SOLANO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
On behalf of the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency (SAFCA), Wood Rodgers evaluated 15 alternatives for constructing a multi-benefit project on Little Egbert Tract, located within the lower reach of the Yolo Bypass immediately north of the City of Rio Vista. The purpose of the study was to identify a preferred land use combination considering regional agricultural sustainability, ecosystem enhancement, and flood risk reduction. The work required coordination with a number of regional stakeholders including Solano County, Caltrans, local Reclamation Districts, state and federal fisheries agencies, DWR, and Westervelt Ecological Services. Wood Rodgers led the feasibility including providing project management, civil analyses, Feasibility Study report preparation, and facilitation of Study Charettes.
