Project Case Study
West Levee of the Yolo Bypass Repair Project in Reclamation District 2035
YOLO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
By preparing a Letter of Intent and a System-wide Improvement Framework (SWIF), Wood Rodgers assisted Reclamation District 2035 to regain eligibility in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) PL 84-99 Program. As a result, Wood Rodgers was able to coordinate, on behalf of RD 2035, with the USACE to repair 9 damaged levee sites along the west levee of the Yolo Bypass from the January and March 2017 storms. Rehabilitation of the damaged levees is underway. The picture shows the work being done this year on Site 9 to repair the waterside toe damaged from wind waves in the Yolo Bypass. Sites 1 through 7 have already been repaired and the Site 8 is scheduled for construction next year.
